P-EBT Program

April 28, 2021

Dear Families,

Over the past few weeks we have received calls concerning the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program. Some families have informed us that they have not received a card or they have received a card for just one child but not for the other children in the household. Another concern we’ve heard is that parents have called the P-EBT Helpline (1-833-621-0737) and been told that their child’s name has not been submitted.

The District has been in contact with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and have been informed that all of our students have been entered into their system. The only data that the District provides to the state are the home address and daily attendance of our students.

The District continues to work diligently with the Illinois State Board of Education to ensure our families receive their P-EBT benefits. There is a delay at the state level and we hope that this will be corrected soon. The data is collected by ISBE is shared with the Illinois Department of Human Services who is issuing the P-EBT benefit cards.

Additional information regarding the P-EBT benefits and issuances, including frequently asked questions, may be found at http://www.dhs.illinois.gov/PEBT.

We appreciate your patience as the state works through this new process. The District will continue to advocate for our families during this difficult time.
