A Welcoming Start to BPAC: Empowering Families Together
The first BPAC meeting of the year was a warm and inspiring event! Ms. Sepulveda and Superintendent Hassan started the meeting with a warm welcome to all parents, setting the stage for a collaborative and inclusive space. Parents from Washington Dual Language Academy and Emerson shared their experiences of being part of BPAC, highlighting the impact of community involvement.
The meeting provided an overview of BPAC’s purpose, explaining its roles, functions, and membership. Families learned about BPAC’s commitment to supporting bilingual students and how everyone can play a part. Interpretation was offered to make the session accessible for all, ensuring that language was no barrier to participation.
Dra. Rebeca Palacios led an insightful workshop on “Engaging with Your Child at an Early Age” and gifted each participant a book to continue learning at home.
Mark your calendars for our next BPAC meeting in December—details coming soon!
