District 89 Partners with Proviso Public Partnership to Enhance Behavioral Health Supports for Students and Families
PROVISO TOWNSHIP – District 89 is excited to announce a new partnership with Proviso Public Partnership (PPP) to provide comprehensive behavioral health support, services, and training for students and parents in the Maywood, Melrose Park, and Broadview communities. This initiative underscores District 89’s commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all students.
“We’re very proud of this partnership with District 89, and we’re excited for our community to experience this support and its benefits,” said PPP President Mike Corrigan.
Under this agreement, PPP will offer mental health services, including therapy and counseling, to students in District 89 at no charge. These services are designed to help students navigate challenges and promote overall well-being. In addition, PPP will provide training sessions to students, parents/guardians, and community stakeholders on critical topics such as vaping, recognizing signs and symptoms of behavioral health concerns, and Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA).
